Biosystems Heat and Mass Transfer Lab

The Biosystems Heat and Mass Transfer Laboratory, under the supervision of Professor Christopher Choi, has both lab and office space. The computing laboratory is outfitted with parallel computing servers. These servers are equipped with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software that is fully capable of carrying out the complex simulations.

This facility is also designed to conduct sensor calibrations and is well-equipped with high precision temperature/RH sensors, heat flux gages, an ultrasonic anemometer, a hot wire anemometer, data loggers, weather stations, and various sensors for remote measurement using latest wireless data transmission technologies.
